The 3rd State Conference of the Telangana Rythu Sangham (AIKS) was held with great enthusiasm from 23 to 25 April 2026, at the district headquarters of Bhadradri Kothagudem, situated within the Comrade Samineni Ramarao Nagar and Comrade Kasani Ailayya precincts. The Reception Committee worked tirelessly day and night to organize the conference. Activists from democratic movements, the Farmers’ Union, and various mass organizations exerted every ounce of their energy to ensure its success. 

The inaugural session was conducted successfully, attended by a gathering of over 3,000 people. Pothineni Sudarshan Rao presided over the inaugural session, while AIKS National President Dr Ashok Dhawale delivered the keynote address. Speakers at the event included AIKS National General Secretary Vijoo Krishnan, former MP Tammineni Veerabhadram, CITU National Treasurer M Saibabu, AIAWU National General Secretary B Venkat, and Telangana Rythu Sangham State General Secretary T Sagar.

On the afternoon of 23 April, T Sagar presented the Secretary’s Report. He placed before the delegates a comprehensive review of the activities undertaken over the past three years, along with the proposed action plan for the coming three years. Delegates participated in district-wise discussions on this report. A total of 407 delegates from 26 districts attended the conference, including 41 women. The conference adopted 32 different resolutions.

On 24 April, Vijoo Krishnan delivered the keynote address at a seminar on India-US trade relations. Professor Aldas Janayya, Vice-Chancellor of the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, delivered the keynote address regarding the necessity of crop diversification in Telangana state. Pashya Padma (General Secretary, Telangana Rashtra Rythu Sangham), Mudda Bhiksham (State Vice-President, AIUKS), Chandra Reddy (State Vice-President, AIKMS) and Bhaskar (National President, AIKMS) also spoke at the seminar.

The delegates divided themselves into crop-specific groups to hold discussions; subsequently, they presented the key points emerging from these discussions to the conference. These crop-specific discussions also proved to be very productive. On April 25, Dr Ashok Dhawale shared insights into the inspiring experiences of the movement in Maharashtra. Following the discussions, the delegates unanimously adopted the report. Vijoo Krishnan summed up the deliberations of the conference and offered his suggestions and advice.

On behalf of the Andhra Pradesh Rythu Sangham, State Vice President Suryanarayana delivered a message of solidarity. Representatives from various mass organizations—including CITU State Treasurer Vangooru Ramulu, AIAWU State General Secretary R. Venkat Ramulu, AIDWA State General Secretary Mallu Lakshmi, Adivasi Girijana Sangham State Vice President Bandaru Ravikumar, and Girijana Sangham State General Secretary R Sriram Naik also conveyed their greetings. Praja Natya Mandali State Secretary Katta Narasimha, DYFI State Secretary Anaganti Venkatesh, and SFI State Secretary Talla Nagaraju greeted the conference.

The conference unanimously elected a 93-member State Committee and a 29-member panel of State Office Bearers. The State Committee comprises 8 women members, while the State Office Bearers’ panel includes 2 women. Pothineni Sudarshan Rao and T Sagar were re-elected as President and Secretary, while Mood Shoban was elected as Finance Secretary.
